South Florida Student Dies After Breast Augmentation Surgery
A South Florida school was in mourning on Monday after a popular student died of complications from breast augmentation surgery. Last Friday, 18-year-old Stephanie Kuleba was undergoing a breast augmentation when she had a reaction to the anesthesia. Doctors said the allergic reaction might have been triggered by a preexisting condition. The West Boca Raton High School student was rushed to Delray Medical Center where she died on Saturday morning.
“It was just sad to see her go,” Kuleba’s friend Alyssa Creamer said. “She was a wonderful person, smart talented. It’s just sad.”
“If you were having the worst day of your life, you could see her and say her name and she would brighten up your whole day,” Dayna Mercer said.
Kuleba had been accepted to the University of Florida where she hoped to pursue a career in medicine.
